Generating a form from a prompt
Describe your ideal form in one sentence and let AI plan it, then write the questions, logic, and theme.
Describing what you need is the fastest way to create a form. It happens in two stages: the AI first proposes an outline — the list of questions it means to ask — and builds the real form only once you've approved it. That way a question you don't want costs you one click to remove rather than a rebuild.
How to generate a form
- 1From the Dashboard, click "Create".
- 2Type a description of your form. Examples: "A job application for a design position" or "A customer satisfaction survey with NPS, rating, and open feedback".
- 3Click "Plan my form". The AI returns an outline in a few seconds.
- 4Review it on the "Plan your form" screen. Reorder questions, change their answer types, remove ones you don't need, add ones it missed, and set the layout, tone and theme in the settings on the left.
- 5Click "Build my form". The form is written question by question and opens in the builder.
- 6Review the finished form on the builder canvas. Edit, reorder, or delete anything as needed.
What makes a good prompt
- •Be specific about field types: "include an email field, a date picker, and a file upload".
- •Mention your audience: "for enterprise clients" vs. "for university students" produces different tones.
- •Describe logic: "if they select 'Other', show a text field asking them to specify" — the AI will create the jump.
- •Set the tone: "professional and formal" vs. "casual and friendly" changes the generated copy.
What a generated form costs
A form costs 5 AI credits from start to finish: 1 credit to plan it and 4 to build it. The free Mild plan's 20 credits therefore cover 4 complete AI-built forms a month. The Build button always shows the cost before you commit to it.
- •Regenerating the outline costs 1 credit, so the plan stage is the cheap place to iterate. Building again after a change of mind is the expensive half at 4.
- •Editing the outline by hand costs nothing, and neither does editing the finished form, publishing it, or collecting responses.
- •If a plan or a build fails, the credits are returned automatically. You are never charged for a form you did not get.
After the build, click "Agent" in the top bar to refine the form conversationally — e.g., "add a phone number field" or "change the theme to dark blue".
